Thermal Testing Equipment For Battery Testing

As the country enters the era of energy saving and emission reduction, electric bicycles have become a better choice for people's short-distance traffic, and as the electric bicycle power unit lithium battery, its performance response has always been the focus of research manufacturers, once the lithium battery failure reaction, It will cause burning, and if it is difficult to extinguish, it will produce a huge impact force in an instant, and even explode, resulting in safety accidents.

Therefore, manufacturers in the process of manufacturing lithium batteries need to carry out safety assessment and reliability testing in different environments, and the environmental test equipment is inseparable from the environmental reliability of lithium batteries, the principle is to put the battery into the high temperature test area, according to the standard rate of heating, and maintain high temperature to melt its internal diaphragm, forming a large area of internal break Road

Thermal shock test method for lithium batteries

Test device:thermal testing equipment

Preparation work: Before the safety test, all battery packs should be fully charged according to the standard (charge at 0.41(A) in an environment where the temperature is 23℃+2℃). When the terminal voltage of the battery pack reaches the charging limit voltage, it should be charged at constant voltage until the charging current is less than or equal to 0.041(A), and the maximum time is not more than 8h. Stop charging) After full charge, place it for 0.5h to 1h and test within 24 hours.

Test steps: After the equipment was heated to 72℃±2℃, the sample was placed in the test area and maintained for 4h, then cooled to 20℃±2℃ within 30min and kept at a constant temperature for 2h, then cooled to -20℃±2℃ within 30min and kept at a constant temperature for 4h, and then heated to 20℃+2℃ within 30min and kept at a constant temperature for 2h, and the above steps were repeated four times in a row. After five cycles of high and low temperature shock, the samples were placed in an environment with a temperature of 20 ° C ±5 ° C for 7 days.

End of test: Eye check whether the sample has deformation, cracking, leakage, explosion or burning and other failure phenomena.
